The ninth edition of the event “Winter Weekend in Cîrlibaba”, held from February 28 to March 2, 2025, at the Pension Mario & Ema, continued the series of successful events organized this year by Legatul Bucovina. Even though March 1 is said to be the first day of spring, it snowed and skied in Cârlibaba. So we had a real winter weekend. There were 50 people in attendance, confreres with their families and guests.
We had two evenings with premium wines, good food and live music, which created a nice and balanced atmosphere. As in every edition, the haiducesc lunch, held on the terrace of the guesthouse, accompanied by the “lăutari”, was a much appreciated moment.
From the oenological point of view, this year, on the first evening, we appreciated the author’s wines, from the Primul range, made by Marina Samoilă: ” The first is the first itinerant wine made in Romania, which each year will be made with the winery that impressed me the most, a unique and unrepeatable blend like any experience that really matters. … What I aim for each wine is to have balance, complexity, length of taste and intensity, to be captivating for the drinkers who are now discovering wine, but also for the most demanding wine lovers, to reconcile commercialism with elegance and uniqueness “. The second evening’s tasting was a wine tour with premium wines from Spain, Italy, Moldova and Romania.
