Terra Valachorum inaugural edition (2011)The second edition, dedicated to one of the most representative Premium wine producers in Romania – DAVINO -, proposed a wine from the 2009 vintage (the year of the foundation of the Romanian Consulate of Ordo Equestris Vini Europae), a dry red coupage, blended from Black Fetească, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, produced in a limited edition of 420 individually numbered bottles.

The second edition of Terra Valachorum (2012) includes two wines dedicated to two Lords, prominent figures of Romanian and European medieval history. The first wine proposed (red), a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Black Fetească from the 2010 vintage, produced by Crama Oprișor, in a limited edition of 500 bottles, individually numbered and with the possibility of customizing the label, was dedicated to the ruler Mircea the Elder.

The second edition of Terra Valachorum (2012) includes two wines dedicated to two Lords, prominent figures of Romanian and European medieval history. The second proposed wine (white), a blend of Sharbe, Plăvaie and Riesling from the 2012 vintage, produced by Crama Gârboiu, in a limited edition of 500 individually numbered bottles and with the possibility of personalizing the label, was dedicated to the ruler Stephen the Great.

The third edition of Terra Valachorum (2013) was dedicated to Saint Andrew, the spiritual patron of Romania, the apostle who Christianized these lands. It is a wine, carefully selected by oenologist Mark Dworkin and vinified by WineRo Winery, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Black Fetească from the 2011 vintage, produced in a limited edition of 420 individually numbered bottles.

The fourth edition of Terra Valachorum IV (2014) was dedicated to Andrei Muresanu, Romanian poet and revolutionary, author of the poem “Wake up Romanian!”, the Romanian state anthem. It is a dry red wine, Fetească noire from the 2012 vintage, matured in barriques from the 2012 vintage, produced and bottled at VILLA VINEA (Cramă de Castel Vinum SRL Mica, Mures) in a limited edition of 240 bottles, individually numbered.

The fifth edition of Terra Valachorum (2015) is dedicated to the Republic of Moldova, represented by one of the most (re)known producers: Purcari Winery. The first wine proposed is a Negru de Purcari (the top of the range of the Basarabian producer’s portfolio), a coupage from the 2012 production, made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Saperavi and Black Rara, produced in a limited edition of 420 bottles. This wine is dedicated to Grigore Vieru, in the year that marks the 80th anniversary of the poet’s birth.

The fifth edition of Terra Valachorum (2015) is dedicated to the Republic of Moldova, represented by one of the most (re)known producers: Purcari Winery. The second wine proposed is a Rosė de Purcari, dry vinified from the 2014 production, bottled in a limited edition of 420 bottles. This wine is dedicated to the great artist Aurel David, author of “The Eminescu Tree”.

Terra Valachorum 6th edition (2016) is dedicated to the affiliation of the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE to the International Federation of Bahian Confraternities (FICB) based in Paris The selected wine is Fetească Neagră from the 2011 vintage, dry vinified, DOC-CMD Dealu Mare-Tohani, produced and bottled by SC Domeniile Viticole Tohani SRL, in a limited edition of only 300 bottles.

The 2017 Terra Valachorum Anniversary Edition is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the organization by Ordo Equestris Vini Europae of the first knightly ceremony in Romania, which marked the beginning of the process of establishing the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE. We opted for Feteasca Neagră 2015, dry, barrel-aged, produced by Casa de Vinuri Ștefănești-Argeș in a limited edition of 413 bottles (the altitude at which the vineyard is located, on Marcea hill in Ștefănești).

The Oenological Commission of the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE has selected for this edition a Black Feteasca – the flagship variety of Romanian viticulture -, vintage 2015, DOC-CMD Cotesti, produced by Girboiu Winery in a limited edition of 300 bottles.

Terra Valachorum 2021 edition. Terra Valachorum 2021 is probably the best Sauvignon Blanc produced last year in Romania. Created by Dr. Ioan Buia and guaranteed “by The Owner himself”, the wine was produced by Jidvei – the official partner of the second edition of FCVR – in a limited edition of 360 bottles.

Delicate, balanced and with a complex aroma, Aligote is the wine with a typical Dobrogian character produced in Babadag by Liuta Winery, the official partner of the third edition of the Caval Cavalier Festival of Romanian Wine, in a limited edition of 360 bottles, to mark the National Day of Romanian Wine and Gastronomy.
