Moldova Consulate Ceremony, June 2026
From June 5 to 7, 2026, the Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in OEVE organized a ceremony to accredit new members and confer knighthoods.
The ties between the Romanian Consulate and the Consulate of the Republic of Moldova are close and are based on cultural, oenological, and ceremonial cooperation.
These take the form of joint projects to promote wine, as well as mutual participation in events and ceremonies.
At this event, the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE was represented by a delegation led by Vice Consul Marius Farmazon, the OEVE Senate’s representative for the Consulate of the Republic of Moldova, Proconsul Gratzian Mărgărit, as well as other participants, including Eques Adrian Badită, Consular Chancellor, and Eques Dan Preda, Consular Marshal.
The event kicked off on June 5, 2026, with a themed visit to Epicrama Winery in Stăuceni, where the solemn chivalric protocol was combined with the relaxed atmosphere of a modern boutique winery.
The knights were welcomed in the traditional manner by the evening’s host, Brother Sergiu Stradnic, right at the entrance to the estate in Stăuceni.
In an official setting, discussions were held on preserving the cultural identity of wine and promoting indigenous grape varieties from the Republic of Moldova.
As this was an evening dedicated to connoisseurs and leading figures in the field, the knights had the privilege of being the first to analyze and evaluate the winery’s new vintages from 2024 and 2025.
The main focus was on expressing the local terroir through wines made from Feteasca Albă and Feteasca Neagră grapes.
Guests enjoyed a spectacular view of the vineyards and an evening of fine dining, perfectly combining wine tasting with relaxation in nature.
Saturday, June 6, 2026, marked the highlight of the event, beginning with a parade of horsemen accompanied by a special performance by the Model Orchestra of the General Inspectorate of the Carabinieri, conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Cazacu.
The induction ceremony for new members and rank promotions was held in the Răut conference room at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Chișinău.
After the festivities, photo sessions, and TV interviews were over, the program continued with a sophisticated gala dinner, specially designed to showcase the local cuisine and fine wines.
