It has become our tradition to hold a Consular Forum at the end of each knightly year, during which the members of the Consular Council together with the other magistrates representing the organizations in the country analyze the activity of the last 12 months and lay the foundations for the projects of the following year.
Again this time, in the picturesque setting of the mountain resort Săticul de Sus, at the foot of Pietrii Craiului, over 20 dignitaries met and discussed various organizational issues, the participants also benefited from some extremely interesting lectures related to the latest decisions of the Senate, but also on the secular history of Ordo Equestris Vini Europae, these sessions were held by the most important national leaders – Vice-Consul Marius Farmazon (recently invested in this position at European level), Proconsul 2 Gratzian Mărgărit and the Rector of the OEVE Academy – Romania, Paul Stoicescu-Drăgușin.
The problems inherent to an ever-expanding organization were also debated, but also, as in any democratic forum, some sensitive issues in the life of local chivalric organizations.
Discussions continued informally but constructively at the savory meals that followed the official meeting as well as at the activities – just as tasty! – of the season.
Iudex Marius Munteanu, an experienced sommelier, presented the elite wines from Crama Budureasca, and Consiliarius Ion Bălan proposed the organization in 2026 of a first national competition dedicated to Romanian wines produced by the members of the organization.
