On November 21, 2025, the Bucharest Legate of the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE celebrated in a festive setting 15 years of activity. This second oldest local institution of the Wine Knights, founded by two living legends of contemporary oenology, Eques Cătălin Păduraru and Eques Sergiu Nedelea, and led for more than a decade by Eques Dan-Silviu Boerescu and Eques Costin Dinu, has managed over the years to organize lavish ceremonies in prestigious historical locations of the capital, from the Parliament Palace and the Central House of the Army to the National Bank of Romania and the CEC Palace or the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cesianu-Racoviță Palace and Șuțu Palace. The Wine Knights of Bucharest have often paraded down Calea Victoriei, arousing the interest of the locals.
This time, the anniversary event took place in the Concerto room of the Grand Hotel Continental, offering an evening of fine dining, specialty liqueur tastings and live music.
On this occasion, the two Proconsuls, Eques Ornatus Marius Farmazon, Vice-Consul of the OEVE, and Eques Gratzian Mărgărit, conferred on the Legate of Bucharest the Consulate’s highest distinction – the Shield of Knightly Honor.
