Legatul Bacău – a decade in the service of Noble Wine

One of the most dynamic components of the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE is, without a doubt, the Bacău Legate, led by Legate I, Eques Eugen Burcă and Legate II, Iudex Cristian Niculiță. And, within this Legate, the Knightly Chairs of Bacău, Botoșani, Târgu Neamț and Onești operate, with a total of 92 members.

On June 21 this year, Legatul Bacău celebrated ten years of fruitful and sparkling activity, the wine (and distillates) boiling here in cups from the Dealul Burcilor to, recently, Saint-Emilion and Cognac. Such a time was to be celebrated with great fanfare, so that in Bacău gathered 150 Knights and Friends of Wine from all over the country and not only for a series of events that will remain long etched in the affective-olfactive memory of the places. On the eve of the events, the Buzdugan Mansion hosted a dinner to welcome the guests, accompanied by an authentic lute program. Then, on an unforgettable Saturday, there was a New Orleans-style parade with marching band and cheerleaders, a ceremony of accreditation of new members to the Order and induction of deserving Confraternity members to higher ranks, and, at the end, a high class banquet was organized, where the culinary-oenological pairing lived up to expectations.

Happy Happy Birthday to the knightly finch of the Legatului Bacău!
