The Perla Rarăului Guesthouse in Pojorâta hosted the fifth edition of an event that, along with the “Winter Weekend in Cârlibaba,” are among the most important events organized annually at the local level by Legatul Bucovina. This edition turned out to be one of top-tier.
“Good Wine.” During the event’s two evenings, Zoltan Kormos, a WSET Level 4 diplomat, guided us through two very interesting themed tastings:
- “Wines from Germany” (1. Martin Wassmer – Sekt Brut 2020, 2. Martin Wassmer – Chardonnay Markgräflerland SW 2023, 3. Joachim Flick – Lorch Vom Grauer Schiefer, Riesling 2023, 4. Dr. Hermann Kinheimer Hubertuslay Riesling Kabinett and 5. Joachim Flick Victoriaberg Riesling Spätlese 2018).
- “Wines Made from the Shiraz Grape Variety” (1. Louis Cheze – Syrahvissante 2023, France, 2. Louis Chèze – Caroline Saint-Joseph Cuvée Prestige 2022, France, 3. Nina Cuenca – La Fille Syrah Biologico 2020, Spain, 4. Kloovenburg – Riebeekberg Syrah 2019, South Africa and 5. Wakefield – Jaraman Shiraz 2016, Australia).
- Wines served during the social gathering: Sauvignon Blanc, Zaig & Engelhardt, Romania, 2025, and Barriquello Saperavi, Impresario Winery, Moldova, 2018
- It should be noted that a new series of the TraWis course took place on Saturday. “Introduction to Wine Appreciation.” The number of members of the Bucovina Chapter who have completed the course The rate thus reached 46.
“Good Food” As usual, when it comes to cooking, our hosts outdid themselves, with a little help this time, with the help of our guest, “Viky Proțap.”
“Good Music” The musical background, well suited to the context, was provided during the two evenings by Ionuț-Tiberiu Ciubotaru (piano) and DJ Dan and Mihai, respectively.
All in all, it was a successful event in every respect. Our colleagues and guests They had a great opportunity to socialize and strengthen old friendships, as well as to enjoy a new, high-quality wine and dining experience.
