Romania at Mundus Vini International Wine Award 2022
Romanian wines were awarded 1 Grand Gold medal, 23 gold medals and 10 silver medals at the Mundus Vini International Competition in Germany.
The Mundus Vini Grand International Wine Award is one of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world. Held in the Palatinate (Pfalz), one of Germany’s most prosperous wine-growing regions, the competition is in its 30th year.
The jury was made up of 266 experts from 47 different nationalities who judged 7555 wines from 47 countries over 5 days. Romanian producers sent 140 wines to the competition, more than in previous years, which shows an optimistic trend even if still quite few for the country’s potential.
