The jubilee edition of the event “Weekend hibernal la C\u00e2rlibaba”, held on February 13-15, 2026, at the Mario & Ema Guesthouse, was a real success, being probably the best edition so far. It was attended by 60 people, confreres and guests, including some from SC T\u00e2rgu Neam\u021b. Although, in terms of structure, the event followed the pattern of the previous editions, this time, at the anniversary moment, we chose a different approach both in terms of oenogastronomic and wine and food pairing and in the selection of the sound background. It must be said that the success of this edition also contributed to the increased quality of services (restaurant, accommodation, SPA) offered by our hosts. <\/span><\/p>\n

As Crama Vii\u0219oara, the partner of this edition, produces quality wines -both white and red-, the first evening was dedicated to white wines (Spumante Chardonnay Brut, Opera; Feteasc\u0103 Regal\u0103, Via Maria; Chardonnay Conu Albu; T\u0103m\u00e2ioas\u0103 Rom\u00e2neasc\u0103, Nostalgia; Chardonnay Barrique David), and the second one to red wines (Sparkling Pinot Noir Roze Brut, Opera; Cabernet Roze, Conu Albu; Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103, Conu Albu; Merlot Conu Albu; Cuv\u00e9e Ioan). We were honored by the presence at the top of the Cramei Vii\u0219oara: Gheorghe Albu, owner, and Alexandru Daniel Procovanu, oenologist. We enjoyed the charming presentation of the winery by the owner and the technical details of the wines presented by the oenologist. <\/span><\/p>\n

Before the festive dinner, some of the “hard core” wine knights present enjoyed a blitz tasting of the four premium wines from the 2019 “Purcari Academy” series (Rar\u0103 Near\u0103 Neagr\u0103, Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103, Saperavi and Viorica Orange).<\/span><\/p>\n

The guesthouse’s kitchen rose to the challenge of serving us authentic dishes made with local products, but also correctly paired with the wines served. Once again this year, the “haiducesque lunch”, served on the terrace, with pork on the spit and all kinds of “fogune” was well received by the participants. <\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday evening, at the welcome dinner, we had the joy of attending the “<\/span>One Man, One Guitar, One Show<\/span>“, performed by Prof. Alexandru Marius Alunc\u0103ri\u021be (“<\/span>The guy with the guitar<\/span>“At the festive dinner, the atmosphere was supported by DJ Mihai and DJ Dan, who managed to “feel the room” and get us dancing. <\/span><\/p>\n

All in all, “Winter Weekend at C\u00e2rlibaba”, the tenth edition, brought us wine, food and good music, all in a pleasant and balanced atmosphere of genuine chivalrous friendship.<\/span><\/p>\n
