The Knight&#8217;s Cross with 8 points\/ arrows symbolises the struggle against the 8 unhappinesses of mankind: sickness and abandonment, homelessness and hunger, lack of goodwill and guilt, indifference and lack of faith.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nor does the Order neglect charitable works or patronage in the arts, guiding its work by the concept:<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8220;<\/em><strong><br \/>\n  <em>Only when you overcome envy and begin to commit yourself to others do you truly become a noble man, a knight<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong><em>&#8220;.<\/em><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Founded in 2007 in the noble tradition of medieval knightly orders, the Romanian Consulate of the European Order of the Knights of Wine &#8211; which currently has over 500 members &#8211; aims to promote local cultural values in general, and wine as a cultural asset, part of our national identity, in particular.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Equidistant from denominations, politics, business and group interests, we strive to promote the Romanian wine industry, wineries and wines, as well as the brave entrepreneurs engaged in this remarkable field of activity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last but not least, we promote the benefits of responsible wine consumption, as well as developing the skills of recognition and appreciation of fine wines by wine enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">True friendship, shared in the company of a noble wine, is the reward for the efforts of fellow knights, guided in their endeavours by the mottoes of the order,<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_762c59ec us_animate_this\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>IN HONOREM DEI and IN HONOREM VINI<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>AMICITIA PER VINUM<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_large\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"About us Dear friends, Wine is an integral part of European identity and the aim of the Ordo Equestris Vini Europae (European Order of the Knights of Wine) is to...","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-66758","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
