History
The establishment and evolution of the Romanian Consulate of the Ordo Equestris Vini Europae has been a long road, marked by the following stages:
On 13 April 2007, Eques Florin Torcos organized the first knightly festival in Arad, which was practically the moment of initiating the procedures for setting up the Romanian Consulate of the Ordo Equestris Vini Europae.
The next important moment in the history of the organization is March 20, 2009 when, under the coordination of Eques Ornatus Marius Farmazon, the Legate of Pitesti is established, which will later become the headquarters of the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE.
The next step is the signing of the License Agreement for the establishment of the Wallachian Consulate at the Hotel Burgenland in Eisenstadt-Austria during the International Stiftungsfest 2011 (22 October).
Subsequently, the Senate of the OEVE decides to extend the territorial competences of the Wallachian Consulate over the entire national territory, transforming it into the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE, a document signed in Constanta on 3 August 2012.
The next step in the long process of setting up the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE is the official ennoblement of the first proconsuls of the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE: Proconsul I. OKT Eques Ornatus Marius Farmazon and Proconsul II. Eques Ornatus Bogdan Gîlculescu, a ceremony that took place on 1 March 2013 in Pfaffstätten in Burgenland-Austria.
At its meeting on 8 March 2014, the Senate of the Ordo Equestris Vini Europae decided to transfer the Consulate of the Republic of Moldova to the administration of the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE, until it meets the statutory conditions for its establishment as a consulate in its own right. This process ended on 31.12.2016, the support given to the sister organization being perceived by the Romanian Consulate not as a burden but as a good opportunity to get to know each other, to establish new friendships and as a basis for a fruitful future collaboration.
In accordance with the resolution of the OEVE Senate of 30.08.2016, Proconsul II.Eques Ornatus Bogdan Gîlculescu was relieved of his office, the high dignity being taken over by Eques de Vino Liviu Stancu, at the proposal of Proconsul I.Eques Ornatus Marius Farmazon, and after the statutory interim period, he will be confirmed by the Knightly Senate.
So now, in 2017, the year in which we celebrate 10 years since the organization of the first knightly ceremony and at the end of an extensive qualitative selection process, the Romanian Consulate of the OEVE has a total of 332 members, grouped in 4 regional ties and 12 knightly chairs, our future goal being to develop the organization in all geographical regions of Romania, following the same knightly rigors in the acceptance of future confreres.
