Five wines from the Silvania winery in Sălaj were awarded GOLD medals at the Berliner Wein Trophy.
With 400 judges and over 14,000 wines entered, the Berliner Wine Trophy is one of the largest wine competitions in the world, organised under the patronage of the International Wine Organisation and the International Union of Oenologists. The Silvania winery in Șimleu Silvaniei, Sălaj county, won three gold medals for its 2019 wines, Rose Brut, Chardonnay and the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay coupage, and two more gold medals for its 2020 wines, Pinot Noir and Fetească Albă.
